Te Atatū Marae Coalition was established during the year of 2000 under the charitable trusts Act 1957.
Determined by a dream to bring awareness to the importance of developing a Marae within our community, The coalition had endured many battles from the year 1967 leading up to 2023.
Despite the 55 year long battle and endless hours of dedicative work, the Te Atatū Marae coalition have received a successful amount of support to help establish this Marae; Its purpose is to provide the community with a Māori cultural facility that prioritizes connections within the Māori community and values the importance of sustaining a system that positively impacts the environment and the well-being of those within the community.

Te Atatū Marae coalition values the importance of Orangihina. The land which holds significant cultural value to the customary interests of Te Kawerau ā Maki.
Influenced by the importance of Tikanga Māori and the social and economic prosperity aligned with Te Tiriti O Waitangi. Te Atatū Marae coalition sustains a rich source of knowledge and resources required to inspire and connect whanau through Whenua and Matauranga Māori.
